Automated Pricing and Discount Rules
Pricing depended on SKU, quantity, location, and fulfillment method, and discount policy depended on a manager checking every quote. I moved both into the system so quotes go out right the first time.
Custom workflow actionsPricing engineMakeLine items
Complex pricing and manual discount checks made quoting slow and error-prone.
A dynamic pricing engine connected to the CRM, plus automated discount rules applied at the line-item level.
Quotes priced and discounted correctly without a manager reviewing every one.
Pricing was too complex to do by hand
Pricing wasn't a simple list price. It changed with the SKU, the quantity, the customer's location, and how the order would be fulfilled. Discounts had rules too, but enforcing them meant a manager reviewing quotes by hand. The result was slower quotes, inconsistent pricing, and a bottleneck at every approval.
What I builtPricing and policy the system enforces on its own
Dynamic repricing
I integrated a dynamic pricing engine with the CRM through custom-coded workflow actions. Line items reprice automatically based on SKU, quantity, location, and fulfillment method.
Discount rules at the line-item level
Make-based automation applies discount rules to each line item, so pricing policy is enforced programmatically instead of through manual review.
Rules belong in the system, not in someone's head
Policy as code
Pricing and discount rules live in the system, so they're applied the same way on every quote.
Line-item precision
Pricing and discounts apply per line item, matching how deals are actually quoted.
Inside the CRM workflow
Reps keep working in the CRM. Repricing happens as part of the process, not in a separate tool.
Quotes that go out right the first time
Quotes are priced correctly from the start, discount policy is applied consistently, and managers no longer have to check every quote.
